GMAT: Not yet given, expecting 700+.

Age : 26
Educational background : 1. Masters Degree from US with GPA 3.54/4.0
2. Bachelors Degree from India [ GPA: Not worth mentioning].
3. Certified in SAP [ERP Software]
Work Experience : 20 months in Supply Chain Consulting in US/ Canada [ 1 year in Project Management and 1 year in consulting] in a small-mid sized company. Was a team leader for 5 for 1 year in Support Operations. After great performance was given consulting assignments, althought role changed, the designation did not. Can get great recommendations. Can prove leadership at work.

In a previous job, was a trainer in ERP software [SAP] for 6 months
Extra Cirriculars : I am great at Public Speaking and Inspiring folks. Have given speeches at work/outside to audiences over a 100 strong. Was a lead organizer of a wild life exploration club in Canada. Organized groups of people over 50 in to the most inaccessible areas of the Canadian Rockies, for Photography, Camping and Hiking etc.

If I am looking at General Management, which colleges in the US would be a great shot for me?
I am looking primarily at UIUC, Georgetown, Purdue, University of Washington, Emory.

Not sure if any other schools would be a better match. Can all the great folks out there help?

As you already know your are in a very competitive demographic, however I definitely thing your public speaking abilities would clearly be a strong signature to your application. If you play it up, you can be very competive.

However GMAT is gonna be very important, Indian candidates typically have crazy stats so I think between a 710 and a 760 would make a fairly big difference. The schools you listed you should be competitive to highly competive at if you get something in that 700+.

You didn't list your UG grades, those will be important. If you are an IIT or NIT and probably 70%+ your application would also completely change.

Thanks GoBruins, that was helpful. My undergrad is from a an unknown college in Mumbai and my acads were below 1st class, you can GPA below 3.3. Although my undergrad was in Computer Engineering, which I switched during my Masters, also I did not work in the IT field at all later. My priority is getting a hefty deal with the Financial aid. I know that the above colleges will offer me a pittance if at all, can you suggest me some schools in 2nd or 3rd tier which offer Fin Aids and GAs and stuff? I imagine I will have a decent shot at getting a GA since I did my graduation from a US school and also worked in the US. Do you think its possible? Can you suggest me some schools or a forum where I have a better possibility of getting my finanicial aid questions answered?

You may want to message some previous members in your situtation or at least some schools directly. I don't know anywhere where you can find a comprehensive list of grants. I think you may just try your luck at getting in and hope to wow them. Sorry can't help, if anyone else can, please chime in.
