Hello Experts,
I am a male 30 years old born in India and currently living in Sweden from last 7 years. I want to do my MBA in one of the top 20 schools. Is too late to do MBA for my age? I have done some research on internet but got mixed answers.
I have done my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at an affiliated college of Anna University in India. I dint do that good in my bachelor’s my overall GPA is very low for a second class. I was more involved in extra circular activates during my studies. I used hate studying subjects with lots of theory but did good in my core mechanical subjects, was more focused towards practical knowledge. I was from a business background family, so I was enthusiastic to do a start-up after my bachelors and was planning for that and ended up with low GPA.
After my bachelor’s I have worked for two years in a aqua feed production plant in parallel to that have started a small company with couple of friends. Where we use to import metals from abroad and supply it to local manufactures. The business dint run as planned, thought a need a break and learn new things and improve my knowledge. I started to apply for Master's in Sweden.
I got admitted Product Development at Chalmers university of Technology which is one of the top University's in Sweden and Europe. During my studies I have learnt new things from working with many international students. I have done some interesting projects during my masters and Submitted my Master Thesis. As soon as I finished my thesis started to work. During my master studies I had one uncompleted course, I have finished the project, but the exam was pending. Due work and very bad situations in my family I postponed the exam I have registered for the exam in august 2022. I am very sure I will finish my exam and get my degree. Will this be a problem to apply for MBA Schools? Here is Sweden there is no time limit to complete a degree we can take a break and continue again.
Coming to my work in Sweden, from last 4 years I am working for Volvo Cars as a consultant from a company called Semcon. Currently I am a Lead Design Engineer for a team of 8 people in project at Volvo Car's. I have been promoted twice during my 4 years of work.
Extracurricular activities: During my bachelor’s I was conducting young leader conferences for my university. Participated NEN first Dot events as an organizer (It was student startups event). After I moved to Sweden I do cycling and play badminton. Have competed in couple of competitions.
Hope you can help with my Situation.
