I would probably have to retake the GMAT as it is more than 5yrs old. To be honest, post MBA you would join as Associate and that would be a serious demotion for me. The only schools that are interesting to me are really Harvard/Stanford because of the entrepreneurial culture and also its AMAZING network. MBA route actually might not be for me if I don't get in one of those two. Thanks.

Well then, you definitely have to retake the GMAT :)
So good luck with that.

As for the idea that only HBS/Stanford are good for you, I totally agree that they are the two best schools out there, and if you get in you should 100% go. But plenty of people I know landed amazing VC jobs from Sloan or Booth or Wharton or Haas or NYU or Columbia. And I wouldn't knock any of those schools. Anyhow the ultimate question is: Can the school get you to your goals? (And of course: can I get in :) )

Best,
Jon

Yes definitely smart people get great VC gigs from those great schools. My goal to do an MBA isn't really landing a VC role. My goal is to get access to the network for the long run. Wharton/Sloan/Columbia/Booth definitely could be worth it. But I am not sure MBA would be the right choice. Its two years and I dont know I can spare that much time. Thanks for your replies. Greatly Appreciated!

Well, that's totally your decision, but whatever you do decide, good luck!
