Hello, everyone. I appreciate you taking out the time to read this. I am really new to the application process and yale & HBS[[2+2] are the only available options i am considering.

I am applying to Master's in Finance majorly but trying my hand at yale mba...because I ultimately want to pursue it. Here's my profile that I'll be going in with for R2. Pls let me know if it's a waste of time applying or there is a slight possibility of me being interviewed.

------------------Profile----------------------------------

2)run a youtube channel to teach mathematical and computer science concepts(~500k views)

3) Represented University as head delegate for Harvard World MUN ( Belgium)

4)Vice chair person of a student organisation. Raised INR150k+ money for the organisation through sponsorship. During my tenure organisation won the best student chapter award.

Hey dude,
Great to hear from you!
I think you screen name is a bit of a misnomer though.... you aren't really your "Average joe" :)

Now one thing you will need to work on if you want to hit these programs and that's your GRE/GMAT. Right now your GMAT equivalent is around 710, and honestly with anything below a 740 it will be tough, and doubly so for Indian candidates.

Also, keep in mind that if you wanna aim for these programs they are extremely tough to get into! Yale SS has 10-15 places per year!!!! And HBS about 90-100. So they are very very very competitive.

Doesn't mean you can't try though if your GMAT is on par.

Best
:)

Jon

Thank you so much for such a prompt reply. I shalll surely work on my scores! Although I am applying to a few masters in management programs like UMich and duke....you think these programs would admiit me?

With a great application sure! why not? :) Give them reasons too.
And every bit on the GMAT helps too!

Best of luck!

Jon
