30 months work-ex
GMAT : 720 Q50 V38
Engineering Graduate in Electronics and Communication from a Tier 2 college
Equivalent GPA 3.86
12th 85 %
10th 87 %
Post-MBA goal - Consulting, more towards Strategy

Hi there,
So to give a better evaluation.. we'd likely need to know a bit more about your profile! B-school admission is about more than just the objective facts such as GMAT/GPA.... it's about who you are, what you bring to the class, why you want the degree, what your goals are, etc. They also like to see evidence of leadership, teamwork, accomplishments made... and I don't know how all of that stands for you.
So far with a 720 GMAT and 50 in quant and solid GPA and some work experience.... you've ticked the theoretical boxes that you can likely handle the academic side of b-school... but what else will you bring to the table? etc. You are part of a very common applicant profile-- Indian engineering majors.... so you'd need to work on standing out from that group. Feel free to share more or ask some follow up q's!

I have prepared a rough draft detailing more about me - my work ex, some of my extra curricular activities and have addressed some of the points you have mentioned.
I feel that my weakness lies in my profile - I do not quite have the work ex - you really do not get much into leadership roles in 2 odd years do you So, I do not have many avenues to demonstrate leadership potential.
I would really appreciate your thoughts on the draft. I am not targeting top 1-10, but I am wondering whether I should apply in top 10-20 and which schools can be regarded as safe schools for me.
