JJBrink hi,
My name is Shimri Winters and I head the strategy here at
ARINGO (I'm also an LBS alumnus and was part of their interviewing committee for 7 years)
I really like your profile for many reasons
- Good undergraduate, reasonable GPA
- I too played Squash for my national under 16 team - you can tell a lot about an individual sport, but a whole team is behind you
- CFA would be great and would demonstrate your analytical capabilities
- Deloitte is a great brand, and you worked in the US and interacted with various international and multinational teams and clients
- Career goals - definitely go for some sort of "Africa investments" (we need to dig in here and find something "tight". and if your Deloitte work (and Silverwood Capital) exposed you to private equity or asset management, you can explain how you want to shift to there
- GRE a bit low (but GRE averages are lower than GMATs so don't be discouraged)
If you raise the GRE by a couple of points, you have a great chance of making it into Said or LBS
I would love to talk to you further and see if we can work together
If interested to discuss further, please ping me on
