Hi coolcows,
Thanks for sharing your profile. Your academic background will be a weak point on your applications, but fortunately since the application evaluation is holistic, it will not be an immediate deal breaker. You need to demonstrate you've matured since college, are committed to your career, and have the academic abilities to do well in the MBA program. Your 3 year tenure in your current role will help a lot to show your growth and commitment, and even though it sounds like a challenging/demanding schedule, it also sounds like very interesting work (and quite different from most other MBA applicants). So I think that should help you a lot in this process. As far as proving your academic abilities, and to counteract your low marks in college, GMAT is your best bet. You have an excellent score already, but if you feel you could score higher without a ton of effort, give it another shot! It would definitely improve your chances.
I think overall that if you're smart about which schools you target, and you apply to a range of schools from stretch to safety, you should have some good options. Of course, execution of the essays will be important for you to demonstrate why you want your MBA and the qualities I mentioned above.
Good luck!
Kate
