congratulations for your score.
Its not clear of the IR and AWA score , Insead does look for IR at least 6 and AWA 5.5

sure you should apply to best schools if you have time and are determined to study abroad.

Hey kshitij234,

First of all congratulations on your ISB admit. Getting an ISB admit in itself is a major achievement. Considering your stellar GMAT score of 730, 5 years of work experience it is possible for you to secure seats in other top global B-schools. Also like you have mentioned about your leadership roles, it will be an add on and a major boost to your profile. However, admission to top schools depends on a lot more than a gmat score, thus it is very important for you to showcase your profile in the best way possible. You should be able to stand out amidst the pool of applicants. It all depends on how you connect the dots and build a great narrative around it. Thus in order to evaluate your profile better and give you a fair and complete evaluation we would like to get on a call with you sometime this week.

AMA about INSEAD .

Feel free to schedule a free profile evaluation call with us at your convenience.

Cheers!

Hey
I have a GMAT 730 and an ISB admit (deferred). ISB was the only college I applied to.
I'm now wondering whether I should apply to some other global b-schools- I'm considering INSEAD, NYU, and M7.

I'll have 5 years of experience by the time I join either of the bschools in 2024.
For 2 years I was in e-commerce marketing role, and now I'm in FinTech as a product manager.
I have been in quite a few situations where I was in a leadership position. I'm sure I have a few a good anecdotes to tell.
Just that my academics are average and I have never worked with a global/legacy company.

Hey kshitij234,

Your GMAT score of 730 is definitely a strong start for your business school applications. You're definitely moving in the right direction with the successful completion of 1/4 of your application. And since you've already been admitted to ISB, you can definitely apply to other top schools like INSEAD, NYU, and M7.

However, it's important to remember that getting into these schools involves more than just your test scores. They'll also be looking at factors like your work experience, extracurricular activities, and overall impact. To stand out, you can highlight your leadership skills, your involvement in social causes, and your five years of work experience. Make sure to also explain your shift in career toward finance, especially in your current role as a product manager in fintech.

When it comes to choosing schools to apply to, it's a good idea to have a mix of both a dream and competitive schools. For example, if you're targeting NYU, you can also consider Duke or Cornell. Just keep in mind that some of these top schools have a low acceptance rate, so make sure to weigh all the odds before making your final decision.

If you need more help, we'd be happy to set up a call and give more pointers on how to improve your profile and the right schools you should target.

As noted above by the other posts, you have a great background but there's a limit to what extent we can say for sure if M7 and peer institutions are a good fit. If everything you mention is solid, you would definitely be a candidate.

Since you have ISB in the bag, you can definitely take the risk assuming you are fine with going to ISB if you get in nowhere else.

I won't repeat the other great points above, but it would be helpful to know what you mean by "average academics." Also, you don't have to be part of a global/legacy company to gain admission to a Top 10/15 MBA program in the US. Your demonstrated skills, accomplishments, and overall capabilities are more important.
