Hi jesliwoo,
Thank you for providing all this information! The fact that you are very focused in the sciences and have achieved thus far. It's also great that you are already planning for R1 2021. There's no day like the present!
Unfortunately, as you know, there is nothing you can do with respect to your GPA. That much is baked in already. However, you can improve your GMAT to take the pressure off of your grades. A 730 is a fine score but as you know you are coming from a competitive demographic and so bumping that up 10-30 points would do you a lot of good. If you think studying and taking more practice exams would actually help, that is the way to go.
Like your GPA, you cannot change your demographic. We are who we are. The key will therefore be in telling a crisp narrative that separates you from the rest of the back. You need to make it clear to the AdCom that you are the biotech expert. That's the seat you are going to fill in a classroom and so whenever a question about biotech is asked, everyone in your section/cohort/group will turn to you for advice. That's your ticket in!
The lack of a "business" title is irrelevant. Do not worry about that. There are plenty of physicians, military folks, and other non-business candidates that represent each class.
As I said, we have a lot to unpack in your profile and this is only the start. I would recommend getting in touch with our team in the early spring of 2021 (or sooner if you'd like) to schedule a consultation so we can talk to you about how we can help you create a truly differentiated value proposition as an aspiring MBA candidate.
Best,
Seth
