Hello,
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration of my profile!
I'm applying to top MBA/MPP programs at Harvard and Stanford, along with the straight MBA programs at Berkeley and Yale (for their focus on public/private work). I'd greatly appreciate any feedback you have on how well situated I am for admission and/or scholarships (should I shoot for a higher GMAT?), and what you'd advise me to highlight in my application.
Basic stats: GMAT: Taking next week, consistently hitting 730-740 on practice tests with a 47/48/49 quant and 44/45 verbal
Undergraduate: 3.65 GPA from UChicago, graduated with honors in Public Policy, minor in statistics. Consistent performance in math, except for one low grade in a stats-theory classes that had an abysmal curve (plan to address this in my application)
Current work: Consultant at the Bridgespan Group, a top-tier nonprofit consulting firm that spun out of Bain&Co. Potential for very strong recommendations, have taken significant leadership roles within my projects and across the firm at-large. Previous work abroad (India) and domestic in community-based finance programs
Extracurricular: Not much in recent years, as my job requires a lot. Have completed a few long-distance hikes (150+ miles) when I have time off. In college, I played rugby and helped lead a few student groups that worked with the administration to change school policies on sexual assault discipline and the way we invested our schools endowment
Profile: White/female/26
Career goals: Work in organizational effectiveness/change management for nonprofits, government entities, or in the private sector, preferably in-house and not as a consultant
Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing from you!
