Hi,

I am planning to go for an MBA in 2017.

I am an ACCA Affiliate and have passed all levels of the CFA exam. I also have a BSC Hons degree from Oxford Brookes University with a second upper class.

Currently i am working for a Big 4 firm in the Transaction Advisory Services and have about 2 years of work experience.

I have yet to take the GMAT exam which however i am targeting to attempt in September 2016.

I am a bit clueless about the universities that i should apply to. I would like work in USA or Canada after completion of MBA in the same field that i am currently working in.

Hey there,
Good to hear from you, but to answer your question I need a lot more info from you:
Where are you from? How old are you? What gender? What was your GPA?
How is your performance? Your advancement?
What Ecs do you have? What volunteer work?
Any leadership?

What are your short-term and long-term goals?

If you can answer all this, I can probably advise you much better,

I am 24 years old male from Pakistan. My GPA is 3.0.
This is my second job and i have been promoted once with another promotion guaranteed at the start of next year.
Haven't done much volunteer work apart from teaching under privileged students as part of Rahbar program introduced by TCF in Pakistan.

My main goal after MBA is to work in the same field that i am currently working in, however at a senior role. Furthermore, i would like to work in the same country that i would do my MBA from for at least 5 years.

It would be helpful i you could just name a few universities that i could look into.

I am interested in applying to Rotman Business School and Wisconsin Madison.

Rotman - they grant 3 years post MBA work permit. However i am a bit skeptical about the work situation in Canda.

Wisconsin Madison - Its in the US and its relatively cheaper than other B schools in US.

I think that if you were to get a GMAT of 700+ schools in the 20-40 range would be about right.

I also think that for the moment you should ignore tuition as a factor. B-school is expensive any way you look at it, and it's far more important for you to go to the best school you can.
