Certainly mba ,your profile is impressive
Kevalsheth
Hello Team,

I am confused between Masters in Finance or MBA (Full Time), looking for 2020 intake (if possible) or else 2021.

Could you please evaluate my profile and advise which is more appropriate?

My background below:
Demographics - Male/25years/Indian

Education:
10th Std - 78.14%
12th Std - 72.14%
Undergraduate - Bachelors in Financial Markets, GPA - 6.9/7.0 (ranked 3rd overall)

Other Coursework:
Certificate of Investment Planning, FPSB India (1 year validity, i can renew this, if it has impact)
CFA Level 2 candidate, CFA institute

GMAT - have not given the exam yet, but will appear in December this year (looking to target 700+)

Work Exp:
Total Work Exp - 4 years 3 months (starting July 2015 to date)

1st Job - Team Member, JP Morgan -
Handled the settlement activities in Europe, Middle East, African and Euroclear markets.
I have led two projects during my stint with the organisation. (one of which became a base template for other members to follow)

Current Job - Assistant Manager, JLT India (now a part of Marsh and McLennan Company):
Promoted from an Analyst to Assistant Manager (May 2018)
Involved in delivering JLT performance reports with maximum accuracy and best quality to clients. Also, spearheaded in research and analysis of Emerging Market Equities.
I have led 3 projects and one is work in progress, of which, in 2 projects, i have trained few individuals.
Awarded two spotlights and one star of the month awards for my contribution towards projects

Extracurricular:
Participated in school volleyball competition
Hosted Scrabble event in college festival, Colosseum
Participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan event (led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi)

Post MBA goals:
The end goal is to become a Portfolio Manager, MBA or Masters would help me get my foot into the asset management industry (currently into insurance broking).

Target Schools:
For MBA - Rotman, HEC Montreal and LBS
For Masters - Same as MBA

Any Questions for you:
MBA or Masters?
Based on my profile, would a low GMAT become a problem?
Please suggest other target schools as i am looking to settle in the country in which i pursue my course.

Please let me know if you require any further information.
