A: You are applying for the Top 3-4 schools in the country and while you have a compelling profile and no apparent red flags, there is always a randomness factor when it comes gaining acceptance to these programs. I can't assign a definitive % to your chances (and anyone who does is BSing you), but I can suggest taking the process seriously including giving yourself ample time to get all components of the application in order. We are clearly biased, but hiring an admissions consultant can be one way to give yourself a slightly better shot.

A: You have kind of answered your own question! The essays will be as specific and personalized as you make them. It also sounds like you have relevant experience to make this post-MBA career in sustainability credible. While there is no doubt a 'game' to be played here, as long as it is interesting and tied to who you are, you should be more than fine.
