Demographic: Indian, Male
Education: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a CGPA of 7.88 from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar
GMAT: Not yet appeared. Target Score of 700.
I have taken a mock test last week( OA 640, Q48 V30, IR 7)
Working as a Business Analyst with Accenture, with a total experience of 4.2 years and have been recognized with 'Star of the Month' award twice.
Have worked as a volunteer with NSS for 2 years and have published a technical paper in an International Symposium. Furthermore, I had been a member of organizing committee for my college fest/event and also held the post as one of the chair members of the college society for two years.
I have gained international exposure during my experience at Accenture as I am involved in interacting with Stakeholders, who are spread across globe.
Post-MBA goals: Work in a consulting domain with organizations like BCG, Booz Allen, etc.
· Target schools: Ross Michigan, Wharton School of Business, NYU Stern, Smeal college of business.

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you have the building blocks of a strong application profile. I like that you've been recognized for your standout work at a global firm like Accenture, and you have some international exposure too. I'm also confident you have many transferable skills to work in consulting for a top firm. I suggest thinking more deeply about what area of consulting (either target industry to type of speciality) and how you would like to use consulting in the long term. Those will be important to your 'why MBA' story when it comes time to apply. Your consistent volunteer work is a positive too. So I think the key area of your profile to work on is the GMAT. I would continue to keep a wide range of schools in mind until you know your final score and then you can narrow in. Do note though that a school like Wharton is going to be challenging, even with a 700. A score of 740 or 750 would really be necessary to have a strong chance of admission there.
So keep up the mock tests and studying!

Based on my profile, would you reccommend some schools as I'm struggling to score a 700 on the GMAT. Though my target remains the same, I would like to know where I should apply as a backup option.
