Hi, I have total 11 years work experience.Presently working in RBI around 7 yrs .Prior to that I was working in Vedanta for 4 years. Will my experience background cause problem during placement. Also what minimum score do i need in gmat for admission in iims pgpx programme .

sanjay2023, not completely sure what your concern is. Assuming you mean the unrelated nature of your work experience here? It would be something that you'll have to explain and put into the right perspective, both for your MBA application as well as for future job applications (cover letter is a good place to do that).

There isn't really a magic GMAT score. The average tends to be in the 710 zone and higher is better.

With an all-round profile backing, a 700+ score should suffice for the puropse.

As previously mentioned, it's crucial to contextualize your 11 years of work experience appropriately for any role you apply to, regardless of the duration of the experience.

The preferred GMAT score for admission to the IIMs' PGPX program may vary based on the program (IIM A/B/C) and applicant pool (your demographic and industry). Generally, a competitive GMAT score for the IIMs' PGPX program would be 720 or higher. It's worth noting that while high GMAT scores are essential, they're not the sole factor in admissions decisions. Admissions committees also evaluate your work experience, academic background and GPAs, leadership potential, and personal qualities.
