Male, white, 27 years old w/ 5.5 years experience.
Post MBA goal: transition beyond just software product management and do broader product marketing manager assignments at major tech companies (Amazon, etc).
GMAT: 720 (Q 47, 70TH % and V42, 96TH %).
Undergrad: 3.3 cumulative gpa (3.7 major gpa) top Catholic university. Major in Management Info Systems, minor in Finance.
Work exp: 2 years at Fortune 500 health care conglomerate as a financial analyst. 3 years as a business analyst -> promoted to product manager at small e-commerce company. 5 months as product manager at larger, more brand name consumer Internet company.
Volunteer: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity.
For fun: international travel to Asia, India, Africa, Europe. Inventor with engineering family and friends (couple of promising patent applications).
Potential red flags: 1) never thought I'd shift to biz side of computer software, so I blew off accounting courses in undergrad. Got two C grades in account courses. 2) low-ish gmat quant percentile.
Target schools: Wharton, MIT, Haas, Columbia, London, Michigan, Duke.
Most interested in how I could improve my profile and which schools you would add or remove from that list.

Hey there good sir,
Your profile looks pretty good overall. GMAT is fantastic (don't worry about the percentage when you have the 720), your work experience seems to be pretty good (really DO need some more detail here), your grades are good. your at the right age, and your career goals make sense.
So basically everything is in order - the 3.3 at a non-Ivy DOES weaken your profile somewhat. It's not really something "Bad", but let's just say that there are candidates with stronger GPAs from higher ranked schools, and I don't get the feeling you have big brand names on your resumes, which is once again not so much a real "Weakness" as a lack of a strength.
Your volunteerwork, by the way is fantastic. Two very big prominent programs, and this is definitely one of the things you can lean on when you are looking for ways to differentiate yourself.

So, a lot will ride on your work experience, your essays, and your ability to interest the Adcom, because you DO tick all the boxes, but they want to see what makes you special/different. Other than that, I think your school list might use a bit of rethinking. On the one hand I think you should be expanding your list from strict Top10 to Top20 schools, since you do lack those one or two strengths, and secondly, your school list is only partly tech oriented, and there are a few more schools that could be on your list (Anderson or Tepper for example).
