25M, white US citizen from small, rural Texas town. First generation college student.
Undergrad: Georgetown, majored in International Relations w/ a minor in Comp Sci
Undergrad GPA: 3.05- I had two bad years- freshman year was just a huge culture change going from a town of 500 people to Washington DC. Junior year I had an ongoing family crisis and had to fly back multiple times, as well as work 20-30 hours a week part time to help the family pay bills.
GMAT: 770 (48V, 49Q)
Work experience: 2.5 years at time of application (3.5 at matriculation) doing federal strategy/implementation consulting at Accenture/IBM/Booz Allen. Was promoted after 2 years. I specialize in Artificial Intelligence-related projects.
Extra curriculars:
-Manage social media presence for high-ranking executives
-Mentor new hires at firm
-Leadership position in firm's Veterans Outreach program
-Founded a club in undergrad for mental health advocacy/awareness
-Leadership position in local mental health advocacy group
Interesting hobbies: competitive salsa dancer,
Other education/coursework: Completed HBSx Core with High Honors. ~5-6 online courses in programming, computer networking and cybersecurity, all finished with top grades. Have a couple certifications in things like Agile Development and UI/UX design.
Goal of MBA: Transition from Consulting to Product Manager role at top tech company, and later on become an entrepreneur. Dream is to create products that use AI to help aid people in connecting face-to-face, as opposed to the current trend of technology driving our society further away from meaningful face-to-face interactions.
Top Choices: Harvard, Stanford
Other targets: MIT, Kellogg, Wharton, Haas, Yale
Safety: UT-Austin
Other info: Will be applying round 1 to all. Will be taking months to prepare my essays and recs so I am hoping they will be very strong.
Thoughts? Will this GPA stop me from getting into H/S?

Good choice of schools. Great profile too.
1. Will the GPA prevent you? Since you have displayed you are capable of fighting back, the bad years won't hamper your overall chances, though I strongly suggest writing a convincing optional essay.
2. As for the goal, your understanding of Prod Mgrial roles, and how you establish a link to bring strength to your story will count.

Not necessarily-- having the 770 GMAT provides a really strong counter. You will need to properly address the issues you mentioned in college with family issues etc- not as an excuse-- but in providing context around the lower GPA
I can see you presenting very well-- but don't think the 770 alone is enough-- you need a strong application-- and believe it or not-- now is a great time to get started working with a consultant. Why? Because now there is time to do a great job on some of the internal reflection-- where are my biggest strengths and how can I present myself in a unique way-- if you spend time on this now-- along with school research-- you can more quickly address the essays once the new applications are available.
