I would very much appreciate your feedback to my profile:

EDUCATION
BA in Public Policy from NESCAC college (2004) (GPA: 3.7)
Masters in Public Health from Yale University (2007) (GPA: NA)
Asian-American woman
GMAT score: projecting 670

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Currently employed as a healthcare consultant in large benefits consulting firm. Serve as project manager for multiple Fortune 50 companies responsible for day to day client relationships as well as managing internal teams. Learning sales process.

WHY MBA?
I very much like the business of consulting and would like to move from benefits consulting to management consulting for a firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, etc. I have a strong background in health policy and administration but believe I need general management training to successfully make this move.

I am interested in Tuck, Johnson, Sloan and HBS. What do you anticipate my chances are at these schools- what other schools do you suggest I consider? What skills should I focus on?

I'm not too familiar with benefits consulting, however, if this work experience is challenging and you have impressive achievements then you should have a decent shot at the schools you mention. Also the career switch from benefits consulting to management consulting appears feasible, which is a plus in terms of employability (an important factor when looking at bschool apps). While I haven't heard of your undergrad instituation, Yale will definitely raise your profile. If possible, I'd try to aim for a higher GMAT score. Best of luck!

Agree with shooting for a higher GMAT score--easier said than done of course! How have you been preparing for it so far?

Also I would work on refining your experience and future goals, as many applicants will be consultants and/or wanting to make the move to management consulting. Make sure that when they review your work experience that you don't just blend in with all the other consultants who are applying, and make your aspirations unique and specific.
