Extra Curricular:
Teaching Volunteer at Government schools
Recommendations: I can get recommendations from member of Parliament and police chief of my area as I work with them through the NGO.
Goal with MBA: I am at a point in my journey where the organisation needs to hire more people and have a proper structure. I believe MBA can help me in taking the organisation to the next level. Learning from the top B schools, will give me insights in achieving this goal.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your profile. Your entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to social impact certainly shine through! Here's our take:
- Your academic credentials are solid, with a respectable 3.3 GPA and a robust 750 GMAT score. Along with your extracurricular experience as a teaching volunteer, it paints a picture of a well-rounded candidate.
- The goals you've articulated are admirable, and it's clear you've thought deeply about your next steps. We'd encourage you to be even more specific about your post-MBA ambitions. Given your entrepreneurial background, perhaps you're considering expanding your social enterprise or launching new ventures in the future. Also, tie these goals to your intended school's specific resources and offerings to demonstrate fit.
- Your entrepreneurial journey, especially at such a young age, is impressive and sets you apart from the typical applicant. We've observed that the challenge for entrepreneurs can often be in translating the scale and impact of their work in a way that resonates with admissions committees. Frame your achievements not just in terms of revenue or size but also in terms of the challenges you've overcome, the skills you've developed, and the impact you've made.
- As you craft your application, reflect deeply on your experiences. Draw out compelling stories that illustrate your leadership, resilience, and problem-solving abilities. Admissions committees love a good story, and yours is rich with potential. Also, considering your entrepreneurial experience, be sure to highlight moments that demonstrate your ability to work within a team, as B-schools highly value team players. In terms of your recommendations, getting a reco from the DCP of your area / MP can help, but let one of them be from someone related to your core work than only your leadership and volunteering initiatives.
- As for your questions, your GMAT score is already strong for the schools you're targeting. Instead, focus on crafting a compelling narrative that aligns your past experiences with your future goals and the specific offerings of your target programs.
We hope this evaluation proves valuable for you. Feel free to post additional queries here or reach out to us directly. Good luck on your journey to B-school!
