Hi A2209,
Thank you for posting your profile! I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile - firstly you are in a targeted field of investing in infrastructure and renewable energy in emerging markets. That aligns well with your post-MBA goal of impact investing in infrastructure. You have a solid academic track record that makes you a competitive candidate at non-HSW/M7 schools.
To answer your question of what schools you should target, I think the schools you mentioned - Stern, Yale, Darden, Tuck - would all be a good fit. Also look into Carnegie Mellon, Ross, UT Austin, Haas. My recommendation is to apply to a mix of stretch, target and safer schools. To decide how these schools fall into each category for you, take a look at their average GMAT score. If their average GMAT score is over 20 points above your score of 710, then the school will be more of a stretch for you. If their average GMAT score falls within +/- 10 points of 710, then it would be a good target for you. If their average GMAT score is over 20 points below 710, then it would be a safer school for you.
As you pull your apps together, be sure to describe what motivates you to be passionate about your career goals. Why MBA? What specific skillset or knowledge are you seeking at b-school that you are not learning on the job? Especially since your post-MBA goals are already in the field you are in now.
If you can articulate this compellingly in your essays, that would be the key to your application success. If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
Sincerely,
Debbie
