Thanks for posting on our thread! Admittedly, I am not incredibly familiar with both programs, but I am happy to share my thoughts on your overall profile.

Your GRE quant score is strong. Great job! Your verbal score, is not as impressive. You either need to consider retaking the exam or putting out well-polished essays to alleviate concerns about the verbal score.

Your work experience seems adequate. You do not typically need much for these masters program. It would be great to know more about your extracurricular activities and accomplishments. That's a good feather to have in your cap.

One thing missing: what are your career goals? Why do you want an MAM or an MiM degree? Clearly articulating your plan of action will be very important to convincing the admissions committee to grant you a seat.

Please reach out to us if you'd like to discuss in more detail. We can easily find someone on our staff who is well-versed in these programs and can further assist you.

Hi! Just an update! I have received admits for Ms supply chain from Rutgers New brunswick and University of Maryland college park. I am undecided between these two and want to pursue one that will be best for me in terms of finding job opportunities post masters. Rutgers Ms supply chain is ranked 11 in US as per US news but maryland is not in the list yet maryland's program is ranked worldwide in QS ranking and rutgers is unranked there. Any guidance in this respect is highly appreciated!!
(**also got scholarship of $5000 from maryland but none from rutgers, though finance not an issue)

Best wishes,

Congratulations both acceptances!

I am admittedly not all that familiar with both programs, but they sound great and promising. Given the choice based only on what I know, I would go with the University of Maryland. It is an overall stronger brand name as far as the parent university is concerned, which can be a good approximation for the number of job opportunities post-masters.

There are three things I would suggest you do to learn more. First, I recommend you reach out to current or former students at both programs to better understand each program. Conduct some informational interviews with questions that you think will help you discern the differences between the two programs. After you have done a few, I am sure you will have a clearer sense about which program is a better fit for your criteria. Second, I would also go onto the websites of the programs and dig around to really understand the nuances. Third, I would contact the admissions offices and see if they have any other resources or suggestions for how you can get to know the degree and what you can expect to experience.

Normally accepted students would have the opportunity to visit campus and meet with students, so you will need to do some of the leg work yourself to help you make a most informed decision. Congrats again and good luck in your pursuit of this degree!
