Hi there!
I think you have a very robust profile for the schools on your list. I especially like your strong work experience in large reputable companies (with awards), your solid academic track record, and extracurriculars (especially in athletics) demonstrating leadership skills during school and outside work. Your passion for music also helps to differentiate you. These are all things that the Admissions Committee looks for. I think it's not a problem that you don't have specific international work experience; I think your work with teams from diverse backgrounds in such international companies are probably preparing you for what the environment is like at b-school.

I think the 9 schools on your list are a good mix of more selective and target schools. Given your interest in entering management consulting, these are all schools that have on-campus recruiting and send a large portion of their graduates into consulting. This is a long list though! I suggest narrowing down the list a bit. Schools like Tuck, Stern and Ross would be more selective. If you're on the fence about these schools, I recommend taking them off and focusing on the other schools, which will still give you a great brand name, strong education, and recruiting opportunities into consulting. Importantly, applying to 6 schools is a better strategy to maximize your odds while not sacrificing quality for quantity. Best of luck!

Hi Debbie,

Thank you! Appreciate your promptness!

To add : I have an ( failed) entrepreneurship experience right after my undergrad.

Also, is there anything I could do to improve my odds for Tuck/Stern/Ross?

Regards,
Suparno

It's usually not a problem to have a failed entrepreneurship experience after college - I'm assuming there was no bankruptcies from that?

To improve your chances, I suggest retaking your GMAT. Although 730 is already competitive, in the demographic applicant pool that you're in, I'm seeing many candidates with GMAT scores above that. Even bumping your score up by 10-20 points could give you even more of an edge in this highly selective process.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Debbie
