Work experience (highlight amount of work experience, industries, roles, promotions, special accomplishments, international exposure): I am a Project Engineer for a top US Domestic Engineering Consulting firm specializing in the Energy/Electric Utilities industry. I have been promoted two times since joining the firm and have had opportunity to progressively take on greater leadership within the organization. I support business development activities, create competitive bid proposals, as well as plan and manage the execution of awarded projects (Ranging from $150k up to $900k). I work with the firm’s managers to plan department resourcing and build effective teams of engineers and drafters for my projects.

Extracurricular activities (highlight notable undergraduate and post-undergraduate ones): I have worked with my family’s local NJ art gallery to grow an online presence. I support my community through encouraging engagement and educating local residents and businesses of upcoming committee hearings for nearby construction projects (Ranging from small residential exception requests to large multi-unit residential or commercial construction)

Post-MBA goals: Utilize the value of an MBA to accelerate my growth with my current employer. I've built consulting and change management (project Planning, managing, and executing) experience through the progression of roles and responsibilities with my current employer. I want to expand my knowledge and increase my worth by leveraging the value an MBA can provide in leadership development and business strategy, with a focus on the finance of large capital asset/infrastructure projects.

Target schools: Primarily my target is to pursue a Part-Time MBA with a local university. My target part-time school is NYU Stern, with Philadelphia regional universities (Temple, Drexel, and Villanova) as contingency.

Hi Rpedersen, hmmm, I think you are on the right track with the schools on your list. I suppose you could also consider Rutgers, or perhaps Fordham. Your GMAT is a touch lower than the Stern PT profile, so you'd improve your chances by retaking it, but I don't think it's totally out of reach, and your sponsorship will likely help your candidacy.
