Hello Team
mbaMission, wanted to request if you could review my profile and let me know what you think of my profile and the schools targeted.
· Demographics : 27 F, Southeast Asian (Singapore/Malaysia)
· Education : Business undergrad from a Top-Tier Asian University
· GMAT : 710 (Q45 / V42). In a later attempt I got a 690, however the Quant improved to a Q48.
· Work experience : 5+ years of experience in Asset Management Equity Research focused on ESG impact, have a demonstrated track-record in stock picking, and have consistently progressed in career (Associate --> Analyst --> Senior Analyst within 5 years). Also a CFA Charterholder.
· Extracurricular activities : Learning Classical Dance for several years, and at performing level. Also traveled to neighboring Southeast Asian countries for service projects (animal welfare related).
· Post-MBA goals: I intend to pivot to Impact Investing to tie in my interests in investing and have a deeper focus on specific impact driven investing (such as Climate change, Financial inclusion)
· Target schools: Cornell Johnson, UCLA, Tepper, Darden, Ross. Would it make sense to add Booth/Stern as well as possible reaches?
· Other information relevant to your profile: As I mentioned above, I am a CFA Charterholder and passed all 3 exams on my first try.
· Any specific questions you would like answered by our team: Would the lower quant score in my first attempt be an area of concern? Could the subsequent higher Quant score (Q48) potentially offset this, and would other aspects of my profile (CFA Charterholder) + quant tilt of my job possibly help?
Thanks in advance.
