Hi vinaydwarakanath, almost missed your post - it helps if each person does his or her own!

So to me the question of whether to apply to schools outside the US hinges on your target geography and goals - where do you want to live/work? If in the US, then US schools make sense? If Europe, then European programs make sense. Look where these programs place people geographically and company-wise post MBA.

As for your target programs - LBS is a good option if you want to be in London, but may be challenging admissions-wise. Tell me, have you tried the GMAT? They accept the GRE but historically tend to prefer the GMAT...if you get a high GMAT that helps out their averages, that may help you a bit as they consider you. Berkeley is a small program and may be highly competitive - it often has a surprisingly low admit rate - are you aiming to work in California? If trying for NY I'd focus on schools on the East Coast more. It's hard to add too many more names yet because I actually like to do that off goals and that's my next question for you - why IB???? It seems like a real detour in between research/valuation and asset management. I don't really get your plan. So, depending on what you really actually want to do and where you want to work, that is likely to influence my other thoughts on programs.

Hope this reply was helpful, good luck!

Warmly,
Julie-Anne Heafey
