Hi
rt0211 - thanks for reaching out to Stratus! I'd be happy to answer your questions.
You've got solid stats--well done there! Indian males in engineering is typically a crowded space, but you've clearly shown you're exceptional within the pack.
Regarding extracurriculars, you've got some strong ones, but for the most part they seem to have occurred years ago and/or are school/work related--is that correct? Something service-oriented could help strengthen your profile. Could be as simple as reframing what you've been up to, to make that clearer.
Scholarships aren't out of the question for you, but it will require a very strong story. I've worked with several clients who have received 100% scholarships and can attest compelling narrative is what would seal the deal for you. Your post-MBA goals make sense, but I'd want to know more about your deeper 'why' and how you're connecting the dots from your past to your future. Schools will be more willing to support you financially if you can prove you will be a major asset to their program.
I don't think you're far behind, but you should get started working on your apps ASAP. I've been working with some R1 clients since last year, and most folks start in the spring/early summer.
If you want to reach out for a free consult, I or anyone on our Stratus team would be glad to explain more about the steps you should be taking to get to your best applications. I see some great, unique elements in your profile. Creating a compelling narrative is something we help our clients with every single day--connecting the dots from your past to where you want to go in your future will help the adcom determine how much they want to invest in you and your story.
