Hi
Chikoo123,
Thanks for sharing your profile details with us. Your work history sounds very strong and impressive with the operational experience, large company brands, management experience, and promotion. Your GPA also seems pretty strong, especially if from a top engineering school.
To me, it seems the two weak areas of your profile are the GMAT and the current extracurriculars. It would be nice if you could improve both, though I know that adding extracurriculars at the last minute can seem forced. Still, I would see what you can add -- like picking up with the previous NGO, or volunteering as a mentor through an organization you already belong to. That would be a nice to have.
Of the two areas, I think the GMAT is more important to focus on, as that could dramatically change your odds at Top 25 schools, especially if you are seeking scholarship. Many of the clients I've seen get significant scholarships have above average GMAT scores. You've got an excellent Quant score, but I'd love to see your Verbal come up to 35 or higher. I think if you focus the next 2 months or so on that, you'll also still have plenty of time to do the application work required. I don't think a 3rd attempt will be much of an issue either, though I wouldn't plan many more than that.
Hope that helps, and good luck!
Kate

Hi!
I'm currently deciding whether I should retake the GMAT and would greatly appreciate a
profile review so I can make an informed decision. My applicant details are below:
Indian, female, 24 years old(planning to apply for fall 2021 as most of the colleges round 3 is over for fall 2020)
undergrad from top 10 engineering college in India, 3.4 GPA, Chemical Engineering
690(Q50, V32) GMAT score (2nd attempt 630 earlier)
Work history: Around 2 years and 9 months of work ex. Currently working in India's largest food delivery company as Senior operation Manager in operation strategy(1.5 years, one promotion) Before that in Amazon Operation India as Area Manager(1.4 years, directly managed around 200 people).
Extra-curriculars: Have worked for 2 years in a student led NGO during my undergrad. Havnt done anything post my college.
Certificate: Lean six sigma Green belt certified(dont think so this will have weight-age but thought of putting as FYI)
Also my score in 10th standard =95%
12th standard=90%
College CGPA= 7.7
Dream schools: Top 25 US college with scholarship. Specifically mentioned scholarship as I have to completely fund my higher studies and dont want to burden with excessive loan post MBA(I am looking somewhat max $70k loan)
Let me know if there's any other information you need in order to provide a recommendation.
I am confused if i should retake the exam as i was hoping for 720+ score. And for that score, I atleast need to study for another month to cross the 700 barrier but i think the time would be better served improving other parts of my application, although I realize I have at least 6 months until i apply.
Really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions!
