UG: B.E Computer Science and Applied Mathematics [Top 10 college for Computer Science in India,QS ranking 400-500]
UG GPA: 8.01/10

UG Highlights
i) 3 First Author papers in highly rated conferences
ii) One of the founding members of the quizzing club of college
iii) Multiple times Head of the sponsorship team for the college fest
iv) Active member of Enactus
v) Entrepreneurial Project which raised 10K INR in revenue , 4k inp

Work Experience: Will be joining as a Software Developer(Indian Office) for one of the largest bank of UK in May 2021. Internships at various NGOs,MNC(Summer Intern) and Startups.

Reason to do MBA: Network. International experience. Formal education in business management for help in entrepreneurship ventures or pivoting to my interest area (finance).

Post MBA: Most likely to continue in social entrepreneurship/finance areas.

Can you kindly suggest how should I plan for making my profile strong for top 30 B-Schools in the world.

Hi - are you applying for Deferred / 2+2 programs in your final year of college, or are you asking for advice on regular programs (that you'll apply a few years down the line)? Please let me know and then I'm happy to steer you in the right direction. Thanks!

I have not thought about the deferred programs like HBS 2+2 ,Darden,Yale or ISB but I am not averse to this idea. However I am looking for the normal full time program since I want to have some actual experience in management/leadership roles so that I know what are the challenges and get a better idea about MBA itself.

However, I think that doing an IT job in an established company,I would not be offered leadership roles straightaway so this is one thing I am pondering over.

Also this is why I have also thought of applying to some fellowships like LAMP(Legislative Assistant to Member of Parliament)/similar fellowships after doing my job for a year or two and see if i do get some leadership role there.

Got it - for regular full-time MBA program entry, you'll want to have at least a few years of work experience, so I would wait until then to apply and in the meantime, build your career in IT (you definitely won't be offered a leadership role straightaway, but over time your responsibilities will increase if you do well).
