I am doing TTP, and it is saying that "Everyone has their own problems" is wrong and that, instead, it should be one of the following:

Everyone has his own problems.
Everyone has her own problems.
Everyone has his or her own problems.

Obviously, in the modern era, no one would ever (in a million years) say any three of these options. The generally accepted version is, without a doubt, "Everyone has their own problems." The English language is very fluid, and I think it's fair to say that, today, "their" can be either singular or plural when there is uncertainty about gender. What does the GMAT say?

It's surprising that TTP doesn't address this, but I am assuming it is an older lesson.

GMAC is pretty clear about this one in the Official Guide (pic from 2022 edition). :)
