plz explain your approach and reasoning 3/4 of the married couple have more than one children; 2/5 Of all married couple have more than 3 children what fraction of the married couple have 2 OR 3 children i pick number 20 as the total number of couple used venn diagram and found 7/20 THANKS

I am also getting 7/20.
1/4 of the couple have less than and equal to 1 children. 3/4 have more then one, so could be 2,3,4 etc. 2/5 have more then 3. So the fraction of couples who have 2 or 3 childern is between 3/4 and 2/5.

More than 1 (2 or more)= 75
More than 3 (4 or more)= 40

Now with 2 and 3 = 75-40 = 35/100 = 7/20

let's say we have x people
3/4 have more than 1 children
2/5 more than 3 children
we need to find how many have 2 or 3
people that have 2 or 3 children are included in the 3/4 that have more than 1 children, we only have to extract the 2/5 portion that has more than 3 children
so we have 
3x/4-2x/5=(15x-8x)/20=7x/20
so the answer is 7/20

Lets say there are 100 couples

> 1 = 3/4*100 = 75
> 3 = 2/5 *100 = 40

Now > 1 also includes > 3
Lets find >1 and <3

= 75-40 = 35

fraction 35/100 = 7/20
