looks like l1//l2// x-axis
from the graph, coordination of a is (7,3) and b ( x,8)
we have : (7-x)^2+ (8-3)^2=13^2 , calculate this and get x=19

Adding on to this:

x^2 - 14x - 95 = 0
(x = 19) (x + 5) = 0

sure  ..but then the answer choices provide only 19 so i said x=19

The software reported a wrong OA. The 'actual' OA is (a), but the software reported OA as (d).

This was the second question in the sample CAT, which reduced by overall quant score :(

the y coordinate of line 2 will be 8 , let x coordinate of line 2 is x

and y coordinate of line 1 will be 3, x coordinate is give as y

because the difference between a and b is 13

so (x-7)^2 + (8-3)^2 = 13 ^2

or, x-7 = 12

so x = 12+7 = 19

so A is the answer.

yup there can always be errors.... in chose prep guides.
