I wanted some opinions on this question- if my ultimate goal is to get both an MBA and work my way through getting the CFA designation.. would it be better to get a Finance related MBA or go with something a little different like perhaps Economics? I guess, overall, there are 2 mindsets that I have- getting the CFA designation is a lot of work but if successful it makes a clear statement that you know a lot about finance. in which case does it slightly devalue your MBA in Finance? Or is simply better to point to both the Finance MBA and CFA and make the case of being an expert in your field?
Please note: this is something very much in the beginning stages of being planned. Just wanted some other points of view on it.
Thank you.
