There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I've been studying about a month and have my exam in 2 weeks. My scores have been fluctuating, but my most recent full CAT (GMAC add-on 1) I scored 730 (96th percentile), with 48 (78th percentile) in quant, and 42 (96th percentile) in verbal.
My question is, which should I focus on if I want to improve (or at least make more consistent) my score? Is the number out of 60 more important than the percentile or the other way around?

The RED part is a bit of concern if you are not strict with your approaches.
The highlighted text seems good if those were fresh qs.
I think you can boost up your quant with GC Tests. Also B schools reply much on raw scores than percentiles.

First of all, your practice CAT score is quite good and mostly balanced. You should focus more on Quant since it is good to have above 80 percentile in both Quant and Verbal. With a 42 in Verbal, you are there but target Q50.
