Q. The amount of electricity a month is 5,000 kilowatt. Usually the electricity fee is $0.02 per each kilowatt, and in discount time it is 40% of the usual fee. If the amount of electricity in Discount time is 70% of the whole amount of electricity consume, What is the WHOLE electricity fee?

70 % of whole electricity consumed = 3500.
40 % of normal rate = 0.02 * 40/100 = 0.008
Therefore fee for discounted usage = 3500 * 0.008 = 28
For the remaining fee, we have 1500 * 0.02 = 30
28=30=58
