C is correct
A & B.
They refers to Anasazi, but these are ancient Anasazi, using now in the sentence doesn't make any sense. [Do ancient Anasazi call those plants by that name now?]
D
Suggests that "The Anasazi" is now commonly called "wild spinach." It's nonsense.
E
"which" already refers to "purple-flowered bee plant", hence the pronoun "it" is redundant.

A, B, and C are gramatically correct. No grammar related error in them, but 'now' in A and B make the sentence nonsensical.
D and E are incorrect.
D:comma is wrong. had there been no comma, the sentence would be fine.
E: uses redundant which and it: had there been no it, the sentence would be correct.
C is fine.
