Iv'e started with my gmat journey 2 weeks ago. I took a cat test and got q47. than i took another cat test and got again q47. than i studied for more than a week, took another test, and while improving on verbal, i got again - q47. I study with the Kaplan Self-Paced pack, and while i can see it is a very good pack and it helps me a lot with my low verbal abilities, i'm looking for a more challenging quant materials. What would you do?
Thanks, Assaf.

Thanks so much for all your great inputs! they have all been a great help.
I had a question regarding the quant section as a whole. I have been preparing for two months and have finished OG as well as the OG supplement and Manhattan advance quant and KAPLAN 800!!!! but my accuracy in quant is stuck at 60-65%. No matter what I do - my accuracy just doesnt show any improvement
Please suggest what I can do in the last 21 days that I have I just purchased the 404 question pack from GMAC. Should I stick to practicing more questions in sets of 37 (mix of 17DS and 17 PS types, will such sets help?)
Best, Manie p.s: I am 26 yr old female from India n i have an arts background with core non-profit work experience I badly need a 700!!!
You're discussed your performance on practice 'sets', but how have you been performing on your FULL-LENGTH CATs? I ask because that's the better indicator of your progress (and can point out what you might need to work on to improve). To score at the 700+ level, you'll need to a strong performance in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections.
Since you've already defined your score goal, when are you planning to apply to Business School?
Well, I have given a couple of mocks and in the mocks also my accuracy is hovering around 60% in quant. My verbal is in the range of 35-37. Would you suggest I give more attention to verbal now and bring that up to 45 somehow? Honestly I gave 3/4 of my prep to quant and only 1/4 to verbal as I was much more comfortable with verbal-quant gives me the fits
With a 45 in verbal will I touch 700?
Also I am applying to ISB in round 1 - thats my dream school.I can give only one year of my life and cant go abroad. No plan B.
Before you focus solely on your Verbal studies, I have some specific questions about your practice CATs:
1) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on each of your CATs? 2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time(including the Essay and IR sections)? 3) Did you take them at home? 4) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT? 5) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
