I finished my GMAT today and ended with 690. I was consistently getting Q50s and Q51s in my mock CATs, my verbal was between V34-V38. So it was expected.
But my quant section was damn easy and I think I underestimated it.The moment I knew that I had finished it with 10 minutes left on the timer, something was wrong.
Anyhow, planning to apply for UT austin and Northwestern for MS in Business Analytics, would like to know whether this score is good enough or I should retake.
I am still surprised how I messed up a damn easy quant section. There were 3 straightforward problems in Permutations and Combinations with 1 problem from probability. So do not miss out on those chapters, because they aren't intuitive by nature, the GMAT asks only straightforward questions. I got 3 questions to my surprise related to slopes and quadrants in coordinate geometry and rest were from the expected parts of mathematics.
The verbal section was very tricky with RCs from a diverse range of topics and also, all the passages were argumentative, i.e they weren't pure data driven passages which consisted of facts.
Please tell me whether my score should suffice for the above programs

Are you on the table at those programs? YES
One thing to keep in mind is these MS programs tend to be smaller than MBA programs and have fewer applicants. Also, averages (GPA, GMAT/GRE) are also not always reported.
If you feel the rest of your application is competitive (work experience, extra curricular, letters of rec, etc.), then a 690 should suffice.

I have recently taken GMAT and scored 690(Q49 V35).
Here is my academic profile
X - 93.5%
XII - 91.1%
Under-graduation(B.TECH) - CGPA of 8.98
I have decent extra-curriculars
I am looking for a specialization in Business Analytics in the following Universities.
1)University of South California
2)University of Texas Austin
3)Arizona State University
Do I have a realistic chance of getting into these universities.
Can you please suggest other top-ranked universities for this specialization.
