Hi,

I took the GMAT last week and got the above score. However, from what I´ve read, other people with that kind of split have go a 720 or even a 730. How can there be such a difference? I´d really appriciate if somebody could explain this phenomena.

Haha! I got 710 with just Q47 and V40!

More seriously, schools care more about the scores' percentiles than the scores themselves.

Or maybe the scores have dropped recently as the level of test takers has increased.

My guess is it had something to do with minor shades in the difficulty levels of the questions you got right and wrong.

Each cumulative score comes from a score range. And each scaled score most likely has a range within itself. So if you are say, a high 47-40 you get 730 but if you're a low 47-high40 you get 720 and low on both = 710 or something similar. Mind you, this is a guesstimate and not official but it's been discussed before
