Dear All,
I recently gave GMATPrep 4th Mock Test. I got 2 incorrect on Quant and 12 incorrect on Verbal, and scaled score are Q50 and V40. So it is possible to get V40 on actual GMAT Test with 12 incorrect on verbal. The pattern of incorrect is as follows: 5 10 16 23 26 27 28 31 32 36 39 41.
Experts please advise me. Should I trust this score or should try some other test series??
The GMAT Prep tests are by far the best resources that you can lay your hands on.
Having said this, even though it seems unlikely, you can get a good score with that many incorrect. I would recommend you to analyse the test thoroughly and understand your mistakes. Try to dig deep in each problem type:
SC: The questions test various concepts such as S-V agreement, modifiers, parallelism etc. Find out what troubles you.
CR: There might be certain types of questions that are troubling you. May be Assumption, may be conclusion, inference etc.
You need to find that out and then practice them
RC: This again can be drilled down into different types of questions and also different topics. See what questions and topics trouble you the most and then practice accordingly.
Quants: Again try to break the questions in topics such as Algebra, Number system (very important), Geometry, PnC etc.
As an addition, start preparing an
error log and keep a note of all the mistakes you made and the lessons you learnt from the problems. This will ensure you do not make the same mistake again.
Make sure you complete all of the
OG and the Verbal review and if required, you can buy the Question pack1 from mba.com
