Qn 248

One night a certain motel rented ┬╛ of its rooms, including 2/3 of its air-conditioned rooms. If 3/5 of its room were air-conditioned, what percent of the rooms that were not rented were air-conditioned?

a. 20%
b. 33.3%
c. 35%
d. 40%
e. 80%

I was thinking the solution of 3/5 / ┬╝. but the answer is 80%. Can anyone try to solve it?

Plug. Say the motel has 80 rooms.

80 total 60 were rented 20 were not
80 total 48 have a/c 32 do not
48 a/c rooms 32 of a/c rooms rented 16 a/c rooms unrented
32 hot rooms 4 hot rooms unrented 28 hot rooms rented

16/(16+4)

80%
