Re: Of the 120 passengers on Flight 750, 50% are female. 10% of the passen [#permalink]
Let's first find the number of passengers in first class and coach class.

Number of passengers in first class = 10% of 120 = 0.10 * 120 = 12

Number of passengers in coach class = Total passengers - Passengers in first class = 120 - 12 = 108

Next, let's find the number of male passengers in first class.

Number of male passengers in first class = 1/3 of passengers in first class = (1/3) * 12 = 4

Since 50% of the passengers are female, we can calculate the number of female passengers in total.

Number of female passengers = 50% of total passengers = (50/100) * 120 = 60

Now, let's find the number of female passengers in coach class.

Number of female passengers in coach class = Total female passengers - Female passengers in first class = 60 - (12 - 4) = 60 - 8 = 52

Therefore, there are 52 females in coach class.
