Hi
A fraction is terminating, if the denominator has only 2, 5 or both 2 and 5 as prime factors.
If you check the question that you have mentioned, Choice E is the only option that has 2 as the only prime factor that is 2^8.

You should read gmatclub math book. It will help you get hold of small but important concepts like this one.

Terminating decimals: 1/4 = 0.25
Non Terminating Decimals: 1/3 = 0.333333

Nos which produce non terminating decimals: 3, 7, 11, 13 .. and their multiples.

Just break the denominators and find out which of these contain these numbers.

A. contains 3
B. contains 7
C. contains 3
D. contains 3
E. Does not contain any such number.

Please give Kudos if the explanation is helpful     !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi rajbeersingh717,

To start, you should post your individual GMAT questions to the proper sub-forums. For example, the Quant Problem Solving forum can be found here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/problem-solving-ps-140/

In addition, many of the questions that you're interested in have likely already been discussed in the forums, so you should try searching for them (either through the search function on this site or through Google).
