Flashcards is another one that really helps taking your score from good to great.
Why? Because Quant is about making hundreds of quick decisions. What method to choose for this question? What to do next on this equation? etc. Choosing the wrong next step or having to think more than 10 seconds on what to do next, brings down your score. So:
- Everytime you make a mistake - make a flashcard out of it
- Everytime you get an answer correct but missed a shortcut / quicker method - make a flashcard out of it
Make sure the flashcards are:
- 2 sided (e.g. one side to trigger your memory, one side with the answer)
- very short (especially the back/answer side - this is not about redoing the whole question each time!!)
- tweaked over time (the more you edit them and refocus them on what you cant remember, the more you will learn)
Review the flashcards daily and have some kind of system where you review the ones you get more wrong more frequently (and vice versa)
Good luck!
