Quant Score Continues to get Lower, Verbal to get higher... [#permalink]

Hi All,
I have been taking the Manhattan GMAT class for the last 4 weeks. My Verbal has increased has V30 to V39 (88% percentile), while my Quant has gone from a Q37 to Q32. I am not stressing out over studying, but I do feel like some of the teachings for Quant or possibly messing with how I was taught them originally and ultimately only serving to lower my score. Anyone seen this before and any suggestions?? thanks!!

Not sure about your background but for GMAT Quantitative, I had to unlearn some of my old techniques of seeing every question through equations and numbers to the hundredths. There is more about visualization and approximation involved in GMAT Quantitative. I was struck at V42/43 in my first two attempts because of my old techniques. Once I unlearnt some of those hard core quantitative stuff and started seeing alternatives my score improved and got Q48 (not great :( but OK) in my 3rd attempt.

If you have quantitative background, just follow responses, questions and articles posted by GMAT Club angels aka Bunuel and Karishma from Veritas.

Honestly for Quant I would say stick to your original method since this is semantic thing and you will remember your method for a long time.
