Hi all!
I first started to study for the GMAT 4 years ago and took the
MGMAT class, but put the GMAT/business school on hold due to a crazy work schedule. I decided to start studying again yesterday and I took the full GMAT prep test cold with ZERO prep whatsoever.
This is what I got:
IR score 3/percentile 24
Quant score 31/percentile 26
Verbal score 37/percentile 81
Total score 560/percentile 50
I am definitely happy with my verbal score for now but I realize I have a looooong way to go for IR and Quant! I am trying to score at least a 650 on the GMAT in 3 months (september) which I guess means getting at least a 42 on Quant if my verbal stays constant? I only have the following quant books from
MGMAT and they are 4th edition;
1. Geometry
2. Foundations of GMAT math
3. Fractions, Decimals, and Percents
4. Word Translations
5. Equations, Inequalities, & VICs
I see they are now on 5th edition and have books set up as:
1. Algebra
2. Fractions, Decimals, and percents
3. Word Problems
4. Number Properties
5. Geometry
How should I tackle these books in the first month? Should I just buy the 5th edition books (such as Number Properties and Algebra) and do those instead of Equations, Inequalities, and VICs? Do you just do one book at a time in the first month? Any other books or suggestions?
Thanks!
