Hi Terminator,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. First off, you have a pretty serious score goal (770+) and your exam date is right around the corner. Thus, it would be a good idea to take a practice test to get a baseline score. Can you take an official practice test and report back with the score breakdown? Once you do, I can provide some further advice.

Hi Terminator,

If you have truly been studying for the last 3 months, then we need to define your current GMAT skills, strengths and weaknesses. As such, I strongly recommend that you take one of the Official GMAT CATs and take it in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss the results and how best to proceed.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hello fellow members, I need your help.

I am struggling with Quants in topics like:
Geometry,
Pnc
Probability
and even Word Problems..

My main problem is not that i am not doing enough questions, its more to do with knowing how to approach them..I went through both kaplan maths workbook and their main premiere book ( some random questions)..I found in Probability this book doesn't even use PnC approach and in questions like heads and tails they actually counted the events..than to solve it in one line.

There are some probability and PnC question examples I can take which are not there any book i have come across and only way now i can solve them is i know the approach by looking at the solution :

a) Prob it rains for 3 days out of 7 (prob of rain given).
b) Prob only one letter will go in correct address out of 4 address..
c) Selection of 3 people in each group of 3 groups out of 9
d) Out of 10 members one is to be chosen as secretary one has to be chosen as president. What is prob. harry will be chosen has secretary or president.

The list goes on like this for geometry..in my Gmat official mock i came across a question where i think area of square was given to be 16 pie, and area of circle had be found it using that..but actual question asked for area of segment i think. I did not come across this question..and list keeps going on.

I dont think i can do every question out there nor do i have time for it considering my GMAT date. Is there a Quants book which someone has used and has questions..from most patterns which are actually their on the real GMAT also solution are efficient not vague and lengthy ?

My GMAT date is 19th oct, and i do need to practice on verbal aswell with quants.

Hi
You can refer to the MGMAT guides for reference on these topics. Alternatively, you can refer to the Ultimate Quant Megathread of Gmatclub. It gives you detailed theory for all topics.
