Hey I know this isn't a debrief as such but I thought this information could come in handy because I didn't really get any clear information on it before I went in for the test.
1. Touchscreen Laptops - There is no issue in using a laptop that has the touchscreen functionality for the exam. However, the GMAT rules do state you are not allowed to use the touchscreen or a stylus for the exam. Having said that, I gave my test a few days ago and I used my touch screen for selecting answer choices and hitting next (I just felt it was faster than my trackpad). So that's that.
2. Running Apps - So the running tasks check on Windows is basically restricted to checking running apps checked on the Task Manager (fewer details )
3. Time Between questions - While you're waiting for your next question, your time continuous to run out. So if your internet speed isn't great this might be a small problem. (By not great I think I mean when you're really close to the minimum required speeds)
Also my exam did get disconnected for a minute or so towards then end of my second hour. However I can't clarify whether time was lost in the process or not (Because I mismanaged time terribly and I was in the process of best guessing my last few questions) but there was no hassle in connecting back.
I'd be glad to answer any questions on situations in which I had first hand experience.
@Mod - I tagged the most appropriate section, please forgive me if this is incorrect.
