Hi!
I am a software engineering graduate with 3 years of experience as a Website and Mobile Application Developer for a luxury hotel chain. I conducted my work through frequent interactions with Business Analysts, Web Designers, and Client Representatives and hence developed an interest in Brand Management. Since I have no prior background in business studies, pursuing a Marketing degree will be a significant transition for me. Should I opt for a Master of Science in Marketing or MBA in Marketing course?

Admissions-wise, I don't know a lot about you to best assess your profile and chances, but in terms of what would be better for your career, I encourage you to research the programs, review their employment reports in particular, and look at the curriculum and see what you feel you need most. An MBA will potentially have even more portability or open more doors, but that said depending upon the schools you are interested in it may also be tougher to gain admission to. I also encourage you to talk to alumni from various potential programs of both type if possible, and to consider scheduling informational interviews or discussions with admissions offices during the 'off' season and asking questions to further assess your best option. Good luck!
