Hello Sir/Madam,
I am to apply to b-schools this year and have taken the GMAT for the same. I'm on to preparing applications but am really confused about my LORs.
The thing is ISB-Hyderabad, India has asked for just one LOR. My work-ex is 4 years as on date.
I worked at a dept for about 6 months and then got transferred to my current dept and I'm here since 3.5 years.
My current boss does not like the idea of an MBA and so I'm hesitant for him to be my recommender.
However, my previous boss is willing but has supervised me for 6 months.
Whom should I choose for my LOR. Please suggest.
I would be obliged by your help.

Hi there,
If you feel that your current supervisor would not write you a supportive letter since he is not a fan of the MBA for some reason, or just that you aren’t comfortable telling him you are applying yet (which is fairly common), you can have someone else write your letter, just include a brief statement in your application explaining why you couldn’t have your current supervisor writing it. As for who to write it instead… you want to think about your options and who would write you the best letter and can comment on your professional accomplishments, character, strengths, etc. Perhaps there is another person who is superior to you who has worked with you? Or someone in a different team or function? Or your prior boss if you believe they’d write you a good letter. Good luck!

sry for a late reply and much thanks for your advice.
Yeah I definitely have a peer whose very supportive. He's not from my team but a well-related department. I mean Im in Engineering deptt and he is in customer support. We have worked on a tender together and also on a full-fledged project. Its like im the designer and he is the presenter. Can a person like this be a good recommendor.
