I have a question about the AWA essays in the GMAT - do accounting PhD programs even see these scores? I know I was told by one school (the one i go to for undergrad right now) that they don't even get them. So if no one sees them or gets them, then is there even a point to doing the essays on the GMAT? I haven't taken it yet and I've heard that some people skip them.
https://www.mba.com/mba/thegmat/gmatscoresandscorereportsFrom that page:
"Each of these scores is reported on a fixed scale and will appear on the official GMAT score reports that you and your designated score recipients (programs) receive."
"These scores" above means verbal, quant, total, and AWA.
What I've heard is many schools do not look at the AWA score at all, and they obviously don't receive the essays themselves. But it's definitely on the score report.
